Rabies Webinar
We hereby invite dog and cat owners, and the community at large, to an informational dialogue session on rabies. • The event will be livestreamed via the National Animal Health Forum (NAHF) Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/TheNAHF/ on 27 September 2022 at 10:00. • Rabies is still taking human and animal lives in our country and has a tragic effect on our communities, friends, families, and our beloved pets. Rabies is a zoonotic disease, which means that people can become infected by an infected animal. • This year, on 28 September, South Africa will join the rest of the world in commemorating World Rabies Day, which brings to light one of the globe’s most terrifying and deadly diseases. • Join us in celebrating this year’s rabies day theme, “Rabies: One Health, Zero Deaths”. The idea of “One Health” is hugely significant. It is only through an inclusive approach of collaboration and participation in all related sectors that this deadly disease can be eliminated. •
We can prevent humans and animals dying from rabies by taking the necessary precautions and by remaining aware of the disease.
